Hi Katy, Thanks for your kind words. Yes indeed, Toastmasters is a WONDERFUL organization. And it's certainly NOT just for people who stutter. It's for EVERYONE. Matter of fact more than 99% of the people in Toastmasters are totally fluent. But almost everyone - including YOU, Katy! - can benefit from improved communication skills. If you're going to suggest Toastmaster for your clients (which is a great idea!) I suggest you join Toastmasters yourself. That way you'll have a lot of fun yourself and you can BRING your clients to Toastmasters rather than SEND them. At the very least you can go WITH your clients. People who stutter tend to think that fluent people have no fear whatsoever of public speaking - and that's simply not true. It's an amazing revelation for a person who stutters to realize that fluent people can be just as scared of public speaking as they are! The support you get in Toastmasters is beyond amazing. Try it, you'll like it! .... I wish you the best in your school and career, Katy. Happy ISAD day! .... Russ
