Thanks very much for your kind words, Ana. Congratulations on choosing such a worthwhile career! SLP's help make tremendous positive changes in many lives. As for advice....I'm a relative newcomer to being open about stuttering and involved with stuttering support....but, I can tell you that for me, the work my SLP did in helping me to accept myself as a stutterer was a game changer. I'm all in favor of a focus on improving fluency as much as possible......for those of us who are likely to retain a degree of stuttering, helping us to cope with that, accept stuttering, reduce shame, get on with life, etc. is really important.
