I was really impressed by this interview. So much of what you said, Lesley, was extremely insightful. You certainly come across as being highly intelligent and exceptionally self-aware (as well as very courageous). I have to be honest and tell you that I only listened to the interview because I read your biographical notes. I couldn't believe it when I saw that you'd grown up in care because I did too. It's exciting for me to come across someone in the stuttering community with the same kind of background. I can definitely relate to your comments about the fear of rejection - this impacts on me in all sorts of ways but I'd never previously thought about it specifically in terms of my speech. Anyway, thanks for doing this great interview and for sharing your experiences and thoughts. P.S. I can totally understand your interest in the circumstances of your birth - I know nothing about mine and wish I did. However, I'm not sure that delivery by caesarean section would necessarily play a role in your stuttering unless perhaps it happened to be the case that you were premature. I could, of course, be wrong in saying this. Anyway, thanks again.
