Dear Lesley, Thank you so much for posting your story. It must have taken a lot of courage to tell others about the obstacles you have overcome throughout your life. As a person who does not stutter it is hard to understand what people who stutter go through. I have never had to change what I was going to say because I anticipated that I would not be able to say the word. I could not imagine what you must feel while speaking to others. To make such an effort as you did is truly inspirational to other people who stutter. As a future Speech-Language Pathologist I hope to tell your story to not only people who stutter, but to others with speech or language impairments, in hopes for them to also be as motivated as you are.
