I enjoyed your article and how well you were able to make us all relate to aviodance behaviors. I know that you addressed therapy strategies, but I had an additional question. Where do you start with the client who does not see how severely avoidance behavior has impacted his or her life? What strategies do you use to make a client want to eliminate avoidance behavior?
