Barbara, it certainly would have helped if I'd had someone, preferably family in the early environment, to talk to about my experiences with stuttering. Even if they might not have found much info back then with which to help me, just their acknowledgment that I was coping with something serious would have helped. A child's mind needs assistance in processing experience. Hannah
