Thank you for your comments, Pam. I appreciate your insight and experience. We did not come across “Christopher’s Wish” in our literature searches, but I just looked it up and look forward to reading it. I agree with you that this type of approach might be useful with adults who have not addressed their stuttering in the past or who are dealing with negative emotions about stuttering. The Stuttering Homepage has a list of books for adults featuring characters who stutter. It would be interesting to see how the portrayal of stuttering differs in literature for adults. Thank you again for sharing your experiences, and for your work to promote tolerance and respect.
