Thank you for sharing this article. I think that using books in therapy is a great way to encourage a client to recognize and express his or her own feelings and attitudes about stuttering. In addition to discussion and written journal entries, do you suggest any other meaningful follow-up activities or projects to the reading of these books that would allow the client to demonstrate attitude change and address the feelings of the main character in relation to his own? Is there anything else that can be done in order to encourage a child or teen express himself, especially if he is having difficulty opening up about the emotions that are associated with stuttering?
