Hi Sara, It's certainly not for everyone, and maybe not even for every child whose feelings and emotions affect speech production. As we say in the article, I see the books as a good vehicle for creating a context for solving problems, analyzing the pros and cons of various coping strategies, and so forth. There are many other ways to accomplish this goal. In one of my posts above, I describe the use of anecdotes (e.g., I knew a person once who...), and that too can create a context for exploring some of the same issues.
