Hi Holly, thanks for your comments. Yes, I agree that there are many ways to use these books as a treatment resource. It had not really occurred to me before, but as you suggested, it might be helpful to have parents read some of these books as well. It doesn't happen too often, but sometimes you'll come across cases where parents just have a hard time appreciating how taxing stuttering (and, along with it, fluency management) can be. Books, especially those that are written for the young adult or adult, might be a good resource for helping to develop that appreciation.
