Thanks so much for sharing this article. I really have very little experience with stuttering or children/teens who stutter, so I found the article to have some great insight. Have you found that children and teens will continue benifiting from fictional literature in dealing with emotional and social difficulties related to stuttering? That is, if a child reads one story and is able to open up about his or her feelings, would this be a useful technique to continue throughout therapy? Or, have you found that children who stutter typically reach an point where they feel comfortable explaining their thoughts and feelings about their difficulties without continual probing from the clinician?
