I really enjoyed your article. As a new graduate clinician I found the 4-step intervention model particularly helpful. It made your points more salient by applying them to a therapy example. This was really encouraging to me because I feel like stuttering is portraying really negatively (for the most part) in movies. I hadn’t thought to look at books before, but I think it’s great that there are so many options that portray stuttering in a “hopeful” way. You mention that books make up just one aspect of a “multi-pronged approach” to stuttering therapy. Do you have any suggestions of ways to incorporate other tools that complement the books? Thanks for sharing!
