Your first sentence says, "Concealing and avoiding stuttering was once the most important thing in the world to me." That REALLY stuck out to me. I tried to avoid stuttering as much as I could for so many years. I am now in speech therapy working on to beocme an effective communicator who happens to stutter. I lived in a world of avodiance for so long, and now I am working on reducing those. I make my own phone calls which I used to never do. My Mom made all of my phone calls for me.
