I'm a graduate student with a 3rd grader on my school practicum caseload with fluency and articulation goals. He rarely seems aware of his stuttering (primarily part word repetitions, with some prolongations), and reacts with confusion and even incredulity when his peers or teachers indicate that they did not understand him. What can we do to prevent him from developing a phobia of stuttering?
