Thank you for sharing your feelings and attitudes of stuttering and how it affected your life at an early age. Stuttering is a topic that I'm very interested in. I did learn that it is very beneficial for the PWS to overcome their own negative emotions and feelings toward their stuttering. Overcoming their negative emotions and feelings will more than likely help produce more fluent speech for oral communication. I never heard of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) till this article and I believe that this is a very important tool to help with an individual's stuttering. Have you ever done any studies on children who may use the CBT model? I know that you interview teens but what about children who are 10-12 age range or do you consider those teens or still to young to use this tool? Personally, I believe that at this age range, that they could recollect their early stuttering events.
