I found it incredibly interesting that despite the incidence of stuttering being higher than that of autism, we rarely hear about it in the media. And when we do hear about it in films and books, we do not see accurate depictions of people who stutter. You also mentioned that stuttering seems to be the only disability it is still ok to ridicule. As a student of speech-language pathology, I would love to hear your insights on what we can do to change this? Also, what can I do in my own life to promote a greater interest in our society about stuttering and people who stutter?
