Hi Jim, I have to say I really enjoyed this paper from two perspectives-not just as a person who stutters, but one who did work in journalism for a limited time after college. Your points are well made that some reporters don't find stuttering "newsworthy," given the light of other medical advances being made, but when we discover a major breakthrough with stuttering, then it's big news, and it makes me sad that is the only time stuttering really ever receives any press. But I couldn't agree with you about your comment how you can stick an NSA member in front of a camera at a conference and they can illustrate the points as clearly and articulately as anyone else. It's not about how we speak, it's about how we communicate and how passionate we are doing so. Thanks for this perspective...see you in Texas!
