I agree, there is not enough coverage on stuttering in the media. Before I started graduate school, I knew little about the subject of stuttering but knew a vast amount of info on autism spectrum disorders. I never took a class in undergrad on autism or did research on the topic but I learned through different media outlets. If stuttering was covered in the media like autism, more people would be educated about the subject and there would be more acceptance and understanding. I agree with this 100% "The best way to demonstrate the impact of stuttering support is to let people who stutter tell their stories." This will help spread the word to others who are in the dark.
