I agree changing the label world wide would be hard to do because of it prevalence. I would like to think that it will happen one day. I look at the way language is changing to be person first. This is something that wasn't even considered years ago, but look at the powerful impact it has had on society. As far as changing "disability" services on campus, I think that is a necessary change. As a student, I do receive services at my University mostly for extended time on tests. They are called disability services. I've never considered that being something I could change but that is probably a great place to start. Maybe something like educational support services or something of that nature would be a better name since it is a more accurate portrayal of why they exist. They provide support for all sorts of people who face challenges while pursuing their education. You really got me thinking, I am glad I can return the favor.
