I found your presentation very interesting and had never thought of stuttering as a disability. After thinking about the aspects of both terms, they really do have a lot in common. I can also see why people who stutter do not want this word connected with their personality because of the negative connotation that it brings along with it. I agree with you in saying that it should not be considered negative and that everyone should embrace his or her differences. Do you think people are not considering themselves as having a disability because they do not know about it or because they are afraid of the baggage the word brings with it?
