Hello Lexi, Hmm what lead me to do this study? Well this study is a small part of my overall ongoing PhD study into the experiences of students who stutter and have/are engaged with the Australian Higher Education system. What has lead me to this study is embracement of the opportunity that the Australian taxpayer has given me with a fee-paid PhD placement. I feel as if it is my right to use this opportunity wisely to help my fellow PWS. In my case looking overall at how to make the university experience a more positive and fruitful one for the PWS. I am looking of course to push for change concerning how disability services university disability services engage with a PWS. I am also looking for all different negative and positive aspects of university life for the PWS. My study is very wide and varied and I look forward to sharing more findings and thoughts coming from it with you all in the future. I am also hoping I can push for global changes and awareness beyond a university environment.
