Thanks Jackie! Once we realized that this would work, I only trembled a few times!! The real key tomy persistence - once I bought that round-trip ticket to London, I was going. This was also my first ever trip over seas, and my first time ever traveling alone such a distance. I live in New York and drove to Boston to get a direct flight, which was an over-night flight. Coupled with the time-zone difference and my nervous energy, I did not sleep for about 36 hours! But it was a once in a life time experience, and I am glad I described it in the detail I did.
