Alan, thank you for the very kind words. I do find immense satisfaction out of helping others who stutter in some small way. It is really a selfish reason why I do what I do-it is very healing for me as well. Having been very covert for so and having had such a poor self-concept, reaching out and engaging with others who stutter helps me. I sometimes still feel frustrated with stuttering at inopportune times,and sharing experiences with others gives me the opportunity to realize that what I always thought of as a weakness or flaw, is really now an asset for me. Never in my wildest dreams would I have thought this possible. . . . . You quote Thomas Edison: "If we did all the things we are capable of doing, we would literally astound ourselves." I am astounding myself, and it feels good every day. People ask me where do I get the energy. I think it comes from deep within-from the place that tells me that each of us must have purpose, and that this must be mine. Thanks again, ~Pam
