Hi Pam, First, let me say what a great role model you are for women (and men) all over. To take an idea that intimidates you, run with it, and bring it to fruition is such an inspiring act. I'm in graduate school at Western Carolina University, enrolled in a Fluency course, so I'm new to the topic of stuttering. I'm interested in the experience of women who stutter as being a uniquely feminine experience. I hadn't heard that the menstrual cycle can affect stuttering, but it makes so much sense that it would--it sure affects everything else! I remember learning, in Sociology and Anthropology courses during my undergraduate education, that one of the stereotypes of women in our society is that they are better communicators than men. Have you explored this idea in relation to women who stutter in your podcast? As a woman who stutters, have you ever encountered the sense (in yourself or other women) of feeling less feminine because of your difficulties with speaking? Thank you for any insight and for all that you do to empower women, Elizabeth
