Carlos - excellent paper. I have no doubt that you will indeed reach your the goal of creating a stuttering association in Mexico and then you will probably exceed that goal quickly. When you speak of the lack of professionals in Mexico and the difficulty you have in getting people to meet others who stutter, may I suggest Skype. As yo can see from other articles, this is a great way to offer therapy for those eeding it in remote places, as well as a great way to connect pws with other pws, all around the world. In my podcast, I speak to women from all over the world, simply using skype, which is free. If you know of any women who speak English and would like to tell thier story in a safe space, free of judgement and time constraints, I would love to chat with them. Also, I bet using skype, yo could find veteran SLPs from USA or other countries who might be willing to provide some assistance to new SLPs in Mexico, and same for self-help group leaders, who could talk with you or others via skype to give some tips and pointers as to how to make self-help as supportive and beneficial as possible, to the pws, who are in need of this support.
