I think this story and the documentary sound so interesting! I am a grad student studying speech therapy at West Virginia University and am interested in both autism and stuttering. I have worked with children with autism for four years but have little experience thus far with stuttering. Since you observed so many hours of your brother's therapy, I am wondering if you have any advice for future speech therapists like myself when it comes to working with people who stutter? Specifically, do you have any advice or things that you thought were helpful in working with a person who stutters and has autism? Thank you for your article and your time!
