Scott, thank you for this insightful article. You expressed the reason that I only work with families of individuals who stutter. This problem goes way beyond the child/adult's mouth. Unless the communication environment is involved in the treatment process from the beginning, the kinds of problems with parents, grandparents, friends, etc. can linger for a lifetime. If you had one suggestion for clinicians who work with children who stutter relative to their family, what would you suggest? Again, thank you for this article.
