Lynne, Hi! Thank you so much for your thoughts. You brought up such a great point when you wrote the following: "When there is silence on the topic, kids may develop the notion that they have to work harder to become the 'perfect (fluent) child' that they think their parents want, and they also may harbor guilt about stuttering, believing that if they were a 'better child', they would not stutter. It sure works both ways." You are dead on, it can go both ways and, well, maybe it just comes down to being able to "communicate" with each other. Thank you for your valuable thought, very nice!!!
