What a wonderful story! I am also a graduate student in SLP and as an aspiring clinician I was interested to read your article and the perspective of parents treating their child who stutters as a grieving process for the loss of their "fluent child." You must have so much knowledge of different perspectives, just from working in this field and through your own personal experiences. As someone who can relate to clients on multiple levels, what advice/opinions do you have for clinicians in regards to placing yourself in multiple people's shoes (clients, clients' family and friends, etc) in relation to therapy? Any advice or opinions you could share would be thoroughly appreciated as I would like to be able to gain good client-clinician relationships in the future! Thank you!
