I really enjoyed this paper, I love to hear true stories because everyone has a different and interesting story. I am currently pursuing my Graduate degree in Speech-Language Pathology. You had said that you began to seek therapy around the age of 18. I was wondering if your stuttering was ever addressed at school by any of your teachers or an SLP at school? From what I have learned, many of the referrals for therapy come from parents and teachers of children. I know that you had said that you and you parents never talked about it, but was your stuttering or the idea of therapy ever brought up by anyone else at school or even in your extended family? If so, how did your parents handle it?
