I thought your story was inspirational and really speaks to how parents can quickly jump to themselves as the cause of their child's stuttering. As a grauate student, I have not had the opportunity to work a person who stutters. However, in our fluency class we are talking about theories on stuttering and how to communicate with families. I was wondering what you suggest for parents who are looking for concrete explanations for their child's stutter? How can they be put at ease with their child's stutter?
