Hello Scott and Jamie, Reading this paper has been one of the most emotional experiences of a lifetime for me. As a person who has stuttered ever since age three, I think my parents (and probably many others) still feel a sense of shame and embarrassment about their child's speech, feeling they were responsible for it. I have an estranged relationship with my family with my speech, and I think they will go to their grave feeling it was their fault. But as much as it hurts, I have no choice but to accept my stutter and use my power to help empower others, as you both are doing. I know stuttering can be emotionally as draining as any other challenge that has to be overcome. But if it wasn't for stuttering, I wouldn't have the NSA in my life, nor would I have 600+ friends all over this country and around the world. I hope you both realize how much this paper will help everyone. I congratulate you both on something very special. -SK.
