Kellie, First, welcome to the field of Speech-Language Pathology!!! Congrats to you! Second, can I ask where you are going to school?(you don’t have to answer, I was just wondering). Thank you so much for sharing your thought too about your personal story with your family. Knowledge is power, and that is really the only “source” of power. Chronic sorrow is something that can affect us all, if we give our thoughts to much power. What I mean by that is if we allow our thoughts to develop rules “I talk bad”, then we are not allowing for FLEXABILITY and ACCEPTANCE of all thoughts…Again, thank you so much for sharing your thoughts and please ask any further questions you may have. Sharing thoughts is a great gift we all can give to help each other learn…Have a great day! Scott
