What are the consequences for people who stutter and the implications for therapy of noxious conversational uses of the term "stuttering" in the popular culture? Here's one of the latest manifestations: Fefe Dobson, a Canadian singer-songwriter, has a song called "Stuttering" which will appear in her new album coming out next month. In the lyrics she has a boyfriend who's a liar and a cheater. "You sound guilty coz you are stuttering" the singer tells the guy and she goes on to imitate stuttering.
