I never thought of the problems/issues concerning the definition of the term "fluency." It is such a broad term. It really is important to try and see what the client thinks/feels about their "stuttering". So, is it more "politically correct" to avoid using the term fluency in therapy since it is so vague? Can you use the term fluency once you establish what fluency means to your client?
