I am a graduate student in SLP and I really loved reading this article as it gave such a different perspective towards therapy. When learning about therapy I often try to put myself in various roles (the client, their family, etc) to gain the most information and insight. You spoke about using the Fluency Challenge as a clinician, and also challenging your clients to use it, but do you have any thoughts/suggestions in having parents of a child who stutters engage in the Fluency Challenge? A lot of the papers I have read on this conference site talk about peoples' personal experiences, and especially how their families helped shape their attitudes and emotions towards themselves growing up. I would like to incorporate that knowledge, as well as the Fluency Challenge, into my therapies in the future. Any advice/opinions you could share would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!
