Chana, thanks for writing. You ask, “what do you think would be the right terminilogy that should be used in the clinical settings, books, graduate classes?” Interesting question. With my paper I am not calling for more terminology, but less terminology. It seems to me that we should be discussing stuttering, the absence of stuttering, current speech patterns, new speech patterns, productive speech patterns, unproductive speech patterns, etc.
