I am a graduate student enrolled in a stuttering class at Southern University this semester. Since the early part of this semester I have started to may a good effort to pay attention to how others speak. Over the last few weeks I have paid attention too two bilingual speakers stuttering when they were trying to produce words in the English language. These speakers also displayed some secondary behaviors during the stuttering episodes. My question is, can a bilingual speaking adult develop a stutter in their second language due to the learning of that second language.
