I found your article to be fascinating. I was raised to be a bilingual speaker (I'm currently hovering around a 7 on a bilingual continuum), and I was wondering if any research has been done on using another of the speaker's languages to tackle word fears. I've known people who stutter who avoided certain words because those words "made them stutter." Has anyone ever seen if fears of stuttering "because" of certain words was less with bilingual speakers? If they would stutter on the same word in both languages (even though the word did not contain the same sound or structure), would it raise awareness of the impact their emotions have on their fluency? This is the first time I've really read an article like this, and I find the topic very thought - provoking!
