This article was very interesting to me as it addressed an issue I never thought about before. As a graduate student in speech-language pathology, I have thought about providing therapy to individuals who speak a different language than I do, but never considered fluency therapy with multilingual clients. I guess I am curious as to how a clinician would approach such a situation. Would they provide therapy in the individuals most comofortable language, or switch between each language? I suppose it all depends on the situation. I also was very intrigued by the idea of individuals who only stutter in one language. Hopefully there will be more research about that some day soon!
