Are you aware of any studies that investigate the prevalence of stuttering in more "tonal" languages, e.g., Chinese? I understand from your paper that much work remains to be done on comparing stuttering across languages, but I'm curious to know if the tonal quality of some languages/dialects could potentially mitigate the severity of stuttering.
