Yes, as it is for any disorder. Being from different cultural backgrounds can sometimes cause misunderstandings, misreadings of the other person's behaviour. But to what extent and for what kinds of therapies (or therapists !)with what age groups and which pairs of cultures in the clinician/client pairing -- these are some of the unanswered questions. There were some interesting comments about culture near the start of the conference.
