thank you for posting. My experience is that so many factors interact to determine which language is more/less disfluent. No way to predict. I found your comment about how people view acceptance of stuttering (different in the mainstream, English culture vs in their own cultural community to be especially interesting. It also strikes me that, if you work in a setting with clients from many cultures, you are in a good position to start doing some survey research about cultural attitudes. Or doing some studies simply by asking a few questions and finding a friendly professor who can analyse speech samples in different languages.
