Thank you for posting this informative article, Mrs. Shenker. It was extremely insightful. I am a graduate student at West Virginia University studying speech-language pathology. What I found so interesting is how the school age client can be so directly involved in therapy. The article mentions the client monitoring severity ratings; are their monitoring assessments held in high accountability? For example, a child who dislikes going to therapy would say that they never stuttered throughout the session. And how much would the client's self-monitoring skills affect generalization?
