Rosalee Shenker: Thank you for sharing this informative treatment plan on stuttering. I am currently enrolled in a fluency class, and my professor stresses the importance of parent involvement in the therapy process. You mentioned that the parent’s involvement with the child’s therapy is crucial. I definitely agree because the child will get more practice outside the therapy session environment. The more practice the better. I enjoyed how you include Thomas’ interests in stimulus materials. I believe it is vital to tailor each session to the needs of each client because everyone is unique. Additionally, I liked how Thomas was included in therapy decisions and setting specific goals. The client has to be motivated to make progress. The Lidcombe Program is headed in the right direction, but you stated that more clinical trials are needed. How many more are needed? Thank you for informing me on the Lidcombe Program.
