I love this article!! There are so many times that we, as clinicians (or student clinicians as my case might be) that we forget to celebrate the "I did it" moments. In your article you talked about tangible rewards and then moving to internalizing the rewards so that it was more of a "I did it" response. When you are working with younger children how to do you know when it is time to move from tangible to non tangible rewards? Does it depend on the child or are there signs to look for to signal that they do not need the tangible reward? What kind of suggestions do you give to parents who have children that are beginning to stutter but are just being "watched" by an SLP and are not yet in services? Thanks so much! Lauren
