[[Thank you so much for this article. I found it very insightful. I feel that not only PWS, but all people should read this and realize we are all different and we all have flaws, but these differences and flaws do not have to determine who we are. This article motivated me to just be who I am and not worry about my differences and flaws. I will consider your insight in my future as a speech-language pathologist. Thank you.]] Allison, thank you for taking the time to share the meaning you derived from this paper. As a busy student, I realize you have many pushes and pulls on your time. /// I am glad the paper led you to conclude we are all more alike than we are different, or, possibly, reinforce the belief if you already adopted it. /// Let me further encourage you, since you asked for some guidance from me, to recognize that what I was writing about was gaining personal perspective, something all of us benefit from seeking. That includes see ourself as we are, our challenges AND our opportunities. As people committed to helping people become all they can and want to be, we need to realize that includes knowing what is RIGHT WITH US as well as what could use some work. Too often clinical work concentrates on what is wrong for reasons we can readily understand, but, if we are do be truly helpful, we will help our clients see WHAT IS RIGHT with them as well as what may need an adjustment. It begins with us, seeing our own strength and challenges. /// Best wishes, Ellen-Marie Silverman
