Is joining a support group appropriate and effective for all ages? What about adults in their 60s and 70s that have always stuttered and that’s all they know? Would they benefit from a support group as well as anyone? Would you say young children and adolescence would also benefit from a support group or would stuttering modification and fluency shaping work the best for them until they get older and then would transition to a support group?
