Hi Lauren - Thanks for your question. Oh yes, I think folks lacking in motivation could greatly benefit from a co-planning/collaborative model. I'm not implying that you'd see an overnight turnaround in attitude and effort by any means, but if you can slowly explore what is really meaningful to the client (via discussions, journal entries, and so on) I think you might end up with a client more interested in your sessions as he/she has had a hand in the direction of therapy.
