I found this information to be very interesting. I am a student and I have never worked with a person who stutters. I am currently working in a clinic with teenage clients. I attempt to incorporate this type of goal ownership in my sessions when working on literacy and articulation. I find with these clients that they often have specific activities they will continually avoid. These often seem to be the activities that are most challenging and often the most advantageous for the clients. Does this happen in your sessions when working on fluency? If so, how do you handle that situation?
